PUPGB – SMS Banking is a convenient service offered by Prathama UP Gramin Bank, allowing customers to perform banking transactions by sending an SMS with predefined keywords to +91-9246019525. This feature enables easy access to services such as balance inquiries, mini statements, cheque status, and more. However, the service can only be activated for the mobile number registered with the bank for a specific account.

Features of PUPGB SMS Banking
PUPGB SMS Banking is available to all Prathama UP Gramin Bank’s customers who are registered for SMS Alert. PUPGB SMS Banking is designed such that upon receiving the request from the customer (with pre-defined keywords), system will fetch the account number in which the sender’s mobile is registered and if the account number matches with the account number received in the message, the response to the request will be send to the sender’s number else an appropriate error message will be sent back to the sender’s mobile number.
To avail this service, customers must send a SMS from their registered number on 9246019525 with pre-defined message as under:

Note-: Keywords TPTRF, STPCHQ, CHQINQ works only for active mobile banking application users. Also, SMS Password can be set through mobile banking application app by the following path: My Profile -> SMS Password. Further from SLFTRF Keyword Maximum Rs 5000/- per transaction can be transferred three times (Total-Rs 15,000/-) and through TPTRF Keyword Maximum Rs 10,000/- per transaction can be transferred three times (Total-Rs 30,000/-).

1.What if I have two accounts with Prathama UP Gramin Bank linked to the same mobile number?
You can register for PUPGB – SMS Banking for only one account at a time. To switch to another account, visit your home branch and update your mobile number for the second account.
2.Is it mandatory to register my mobile number with the bank for PUPGB – SMS Banking?
Yes. If your mobile number is not registered for the specific account, visit your home branch to update it before using this service.
3. Is this service available for all account types?
PUPGB – SMS Banking is available for Savings (SB) and Current (CA) accounts only.
4. Is there a limit on the number of SMS inquiries per day or month?
Currently, there is no restriction on the number of inquiries. Customers can use the service as many times as needed.
